Deputy Commissioner and vice chairman DPDB Peren, Hiazu Meru has announced that the Unity Mini Hornbill Festival, celebrated in Peren in the month of December will be an annual event.
Last year, the festival was held from December 5 to 7, 2024. He thanked the departments for their cooperation during the festival and appealed to the departments to continue to extend support.
The DC said this at the first District Planning and Development Board meeting for 2025 held under his chairmanship at Deputy Commissioner Office conference hall, Peren on January 6, 2025.
Extending, New Year greetings, the DC also informed the district officers to submit their departmental profile on or before January 2025. The house also discussed on the green Peren initiative and encouraged the positive impact of the farmers and entrepreneurs of the district in the near future.
Deputy Commissioner apprised the members on reports in regard to the work process of National Highway in the district. He also called upon the officers to clear their respective office areas in order to prevent jungle fires during this dry season. District Land Record Survey and Youth Resources Department were entrusted to present their activities in the next DPDB meeting.
