State department of economic & statistics has constituted state level coordination committee (SLCC) and district level coordination committee (DLCC) to monitor execution of 8th economic census.
As per terms of reference, the headed by the state chief secretary as chairperson and director economics & statistics as member secretary with 12 other members would monitor preparedness, progress and to resolve administrative & technical issues faced in conduct of Economic Census in the State.
The panel would also review deployment of adequate number of enumerators and supervisor in the State. Besides, SLCC would review progress of field work on a monthly basis.
Further, it would ensure complete coverage of the data canvassed through validation against existing databases such as State Business Register.
The committee has been asked to prepare report on data correctness based on supervision carried out by the State and NSSO (FOD) supervisor.
Meanwhile, as per the terms of reference of DLCC to be headed by DC as chairperson, the committee would monitor preparedness, progress and to resolve administrative issues in conduct of 8th economic census in the district on regular basis.
It would provide feedback to the state level coordination committee to perform its roles and functions effectively at the district level.
Further, DLCC would sensitize/ direct the local law and order agencies, local government functionaries at Panchayat/ ward level for cooperation in smooth conduct of Economic Census.
It has been tasked to facilitate providing administrative unit maps of wards/ villages for field work, of Economic Census.
