RPO appeals for quality road works

With the sanctioning of road construction project from Pfütsero-Chilo (Kilo) under PMGSY, the Razeba Public Organisation (RPO) has appealed to the responsible firm/contractor not to compromise with the quality of work.

In a press release, RPO president Deo Movi and general secretary Dapulu Lea stated that the 15km road was a long-felt dream of the Razeba area community.
RPO said the road serves as the sole lifeline for the area comprising of Zelome village, and Zhavame and Tsüpfüme, which were both declared vegetable village.

It stated that good road connectivity was crucial for economic activities, particularly for transportation of agricultural produce and other essential commodities.

RPO said that the area which shares border with Manipur state was also the gateway to Phek district and crucial for inter-state business. Further, the organisation has appealed to the community members to extend cooperation with the undertaking of the road construction. It also urged Razeba range leaders to “treat this as a wake-up call.”

Further, RPO urged the community not to be an obstacle in any form “whether it is individuals, organisations, clans or Ihose Battalion, NSCN-IM (Kapamodzü).”

RPO affirmed that it would “at any cost” protect the ongoing construction for quality road. It cautioned that “strong action” would be taken against anyone hampering the development of the road construction in any form.
