A meeting of District Committee for Lighthouse School Complexes (DCLSC) Mokokchung District was held on February 5 at DC Conference Hall.
According to a DIPR report, Deputy Project Director of NEP-The Lighthouse NECTAR, Avelu Ruho, briefed the participants on the project, covering the current status in the state, the Lighthouse Project’s partnership with the World Bank, project components, and the selection criteria for LSCs (L1 to L4). She emphasized the roles and responsibilities of DCLSC and urged them to form a committee with the SDEO/EAC as convenor.
Ruho also introduced the contractor, M/s Infra Project Pvt. Ltd., for the construction, along with the Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM), which allowed officials, departments, civil societies, or stakeholders to file grievances either online through the project website or offline through the DEO office via the District Project Assistant or Site Engineer NECTAR.
DC Mokokchung and chairman of DCLSC, Thsuvisie Phoji, in his welcome note highlighted key aspects of the project. During the discussion hour, members deliberated on electricity capacity, water connection solutions, and community contributions. Participants and members were encouraged to support the project, particularly when files needed to be forwarded through their respective offices for various aspects and resource utilization.
