The Peren District Planning and Development Board Meeting (DPDB) was held on February 6 at Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Peren under the chairmanship of MLA & chairman DPDB Peren, Namri Nchang.
According to a DIPR report, the meeting started with review of the last meeting minutes by the Deputy Commissioner Peren, Hiazu Meru, where he highlighted the proposal for inclusion of chairman Town Council of Peren, Jalukie and Tening as DPDB member for proper coordination with the town council.
Hiazu Meru also introduced the youth mentorship programme and informed that the youth mentorship programme will organise the vocational training programme for the young people.
The board also discussed the adoption of hospitals, to take good care of water supply, electricity, etc. In this connection, the DC encouraged the Sub Divisional Level Officers to beautify the hospital in their own respective posting places. The board also discussed on handing over the office of the District Food and Civil Supplies Peren to fire and Emergency Services as per their request.
Chairman DPDB, Namri Nchang, MLA urged the board members to encourage the citizens to work hard and to cultivate the dignity of labour and to honour the work culture.
