NPP leaders led by Sudesh Bhagat, president, Minority department – State, and Jaser Meru, general secretary (Org), National People’s Youth Front, along with 13 members joined the Congress at Congress Bhavan, Dimapur on February 8.
The induction programme was attended by L Chuba Yimchunger, NPCC general secretary in charge – Dimapur, Javed Sarwar, chairman, Minority Department, NPCC, Kutoho Chishi, president, Dimapur DCC, and other PCC members and secretaries, and Congress workers.
The welcoming programme was chaired by Kumjimong, general secretary, Dimapur DCC.
Javed Sarwar thanked the new members and acknowledged their good work during their previous endeavors and encouraged them to fully support and work towards strengthening the Congress party in Nagaland. Short speeches were delivered by L Chuba Yimchunger, Sudesh Bhagat, Jaser Meru and Hiketo Shohe.
