Lotha Middle Range Public Organisation (LMRPO) has strongly condemned the alleged rape of a minor girl by Tama Ngullie. In a condemnation note, LMPRO president, N. John Murry Lotha, secretary Motsuthung Tsopoe and joint secretary, Moyithung Tsopoe said the crime committed against the defenceless minor was a serious violation of human rights’ and created a irreparable scar/fear psychosis on the victim and has sent shock waves to the Lotha, Naga tribe (s) as a whole.
Noting that the incident has breached all customs’/traditions’ laws’ and practices, of the land and its people, the LMPRO demanded stringent action and the culprit be booked as per the Protection of Children from Sexual offences Act, 2012.
LMPRO reiterated that it will not remain a silent spectator until justice is delivered and appealed all organisations to extend necessary support to the victim and her family during this crucial hour.
