Bosco College of Teacher Education (BCTE) has achieved a significant milestone by securing a B++ Grade in its first-ever National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accreditation cycle.
The institution achieved a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.86, with the accreditation valid for five years, starting from February 20, 2025. The NAAC accreditation process involves a comprehensive evaluation of an institution’s academic, administrative, and infrastructural standards.
Key aspects assessed include teaching-learning practices, research output, student support systems, governance, and institutional values. The B++ grade underscores BCTE’s commitment to academic excellence and continuous development.
A distinguished NAAC Peer Team, comprised of Dr. Muthaiah Narayanasamy, Dr. Ram Pal Vadhera, and Dr. Kishor Rewatkar, conducted an on-site evaluation on February 13–14, 2025.
The team commended BCTE for its structured pedagogy, dedicated faculty, strong student and alumni networks, and well-established institutional infrastructure. They also provided recommendations for further enhancement, particularly in research initiatives and digital learning integration.
In addition to the NAAC assessment, BCTE underwent an Academic and Administrative Audit (AAA) conducted by the Directorate of Higher Education, Nagaland, on February 5, 2025. The AAA peer team, consisted of Dr. Watijungshi, Smti. Kuholi Chishi, and Dr. K. Nishena Nekha, accredited the institution with a B Grade and a CGPA of 2.32 on a four-point scale.
Reaffirming its commitment to sustainability, the institution also conducted a Green Audit on January 27, 2025. Led by Er. Aghali A. Swu, Er. Kevisede Pucho, Moakumzuk Jamir, and Sentinaro, the audit evaluated the college’s environmental sustainability practices, energy efficiency, and waste management initiatives.
With these achievements, BCTE joined the ranks of esteemed institutions dedicated to excellence in teacher education. As per NAAC guidelines, the college will continue to enhance its quality assurance measures, including the regular submission of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) and making its Self-Study Report (SSR) publicly accessible on its website.
