Ao Senden has extended heartfelt congratulations to Nagaland chief minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio on being conferred the prestigious Doctor of Letters (Honoris Causa) in recognition of his outstanding contributions to public service and leadership.
In a statement, Ao Senden president Marsanen Imsong and general secretary Imtipokyim highlighted Dr. Rio’s remarkable political journey, having been elected to public office since 1989 and serving as the chief minister of Nagaland for five terms.
The Senden described him as “one of the tallest leaders and a true son of the soil in the history of Nagaland.” Ao Senden further expressed best wishes for Dr. Rio’s continued success and good health as he leads the state forward.
