Dental health camp at Old Changsu

A dental health camp was organised at Old Changsu village on February 28.

A press release by Old Changsu Village Council informed that Senior Dental Surgeon, Dr. N Chenithung Yanthan, emphasised the significance of oral health and warned about dangers of tobacco consumption, highlighting its link to cancer and other severe health issues.
He also initiated a campaign to declare the village as tobacco free zone.


Medical Superintendent, DMMDH Wokha, Dr. N Mhonchan Kithan, in his address dwelled on the risk and consequences of non-communicable diseases and urged villagers to prioritise their health by undergoing regular health checkups, promoting early detection and prevention.


The release further informed that oral checkups, screening and various procedures including GIC and temporary fillings and extractions were carried out for around 70 patients, while essential dental health care items such as medicines, toothpastes, toothbrushes and IEC materials were also distributed.
