Jalukie Pumling Youth Organization asks contractors to adhere to DPR

In a press release , president, JPYO, Inzulung Hiekha, said that they will be inspecting all project sites to maintain accountability and uphold transparency, and warned that any contractor or stakeholder found compromising on quality through poor workmanship or the use of inferior materials, contrary to the specifications outlined in the DPR would be held accountable and necessary actions shall be initiated as per the relevant laws and regulations.


Meanwhile, in accordance with the government’s directive regarding the rampant burning of forests and jungles, particularly during dry season, all youths and concerned citizens have been urged to remain vigilant and report any such activities to the relevant authorities without delay.


JPYO said it will actively cooperate with the concerned departments to monitor and prevent any suspicious activities of indiscriminate burning.


Noting that uncontrolled forest fires not only endanger biodiversity but also threaten human settlements, agricultural lands, and essential infrastructure, JPYO called for collective efforts and cooperation in safeguarding environment and preventing avoidable disasters.


Jalukie Pumling Youth Organization further urged the concern department to take strict action against individuals found responsible for violating this directive.
