Expressing resentment on the “slandering language” by NFHRCC to one of the senior and veteran politician, G. Kaito Aye, minister of R&B, SRSU general secretary, Ilokali H. Zhimomi said the derogatory statement has caused damage not only to Katio Aye but to the general public of Satakha range as a whole, especially to the students community from Satakha area.
The union said as senior most, G. Kaito has been highly honoured and appreciated by everyone and most of the youngsters looked up to him for guidance and advice.
SRSU said calling Kaito as “incapable”, who has been consecutively elected to the NLA by the general electorates of Satakha area including the students’ community was questionable and questioned NFHRCC on what basis and on what ground on what research, the NFHRCC has the authority to tarnish the image of the electorates of Satkaha?
SRSU said it acknowledged NFHRCC’s genuine concern for everyone, but while raising the concern on behalf of general public, meticulous care should be taken into consideration.
However, since the NFHRCC has already damaged the personality of their leader G. Kaito Aye vis-à-vis and hurt the sentiments of the electorate of Satakha, which cannot be undone except to retract/remove the “slandering language” used in their statement, the SRSU appealed to the NFHRCC to retract the statement in the larger interest of the Naga family, so as to restore the image of its member which has been “short-sightedly tarnished”.
Meanwhile, SRSU appealed to all Naga Political Groups to not hamper the “People’s Project” and also issue directives to all rank and file of their respective groups to exempt all form of taxation on the ongoing project for the greater interest of the Nagas.
MVC: Mekokla Village Council (MVC) has expressed dismay and dissatisfaction on the recent statement of the NFHRCC “mere MLA” remark on Achumbemo Kikon, MLA.
In a press release, MVC chairman, J. Abenthung Kikon said Achumbemo Kikon is a bona fide member of Mekokla village who has gained eminence as the popularly elected MLA from the 40th Bhandari A/C.
The council said while the village along with the rest of the constituency accorded great importance and respect, the utterance of such malignant comment by the organization was “distasteful and discouraging”. Therefore, MVC said that such “disdained remark” does not occur in the future.
