Minister of Women Resource Development and Horticulture, Salhoutuonuo Kruse hailed Western Angami Students’ Union (WASU) for their initiative in launching the Education Hub program, which aims to provide quality education, skill development, career guidance seminars, and academic support for the welfare of students.
Mentioning that students are the leaders of tomorrow, Salhoutuonuo explained that the future of the nation depends on young leaders and students, and therefore they must not only learn for themselves but also prepare to take responsibility to bring positive changes, and make the country a better place.
The minister was speaking at the 46th general convention of the Western Angami Students’ Union (WASU) held at Kiruphema Ground under the theme “Viketakezo.”
She also encouraged students to put in their best efforts in all aspects of life by encouraging them to work hard and strive for excellence in their endeavors.
The minister further reminded them that hard work, dedication, and sincerity in their chosen field are essential for progress. “Without genuine effort, progress cannot be achieved,” she said.
Earlier, the event was hosted by Kevikrüta Vielie and Megorovino Khate, while the formal program was led by Keneibizo Peseyie. The gathering was blessed by Neikholi Mor, Catechist of Mary Help of Christians Church, Peducha and welcome address was delivered by Mezhuvikho Vilie, president of Kiruphema Students’ Union.
A special song was presented by WASU executives and Keneizha-a Peseyie, and greetings were shared by representatives from WAPO and ASU executives. The second session was graced by Ketusielie Kuotsu, Joint Director of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, as guest of honour. The session was led by Vichasa Suohumvü, with a special song performed by Neisezo Kruneilie.
