Election Commission of India has invited suggestions from national and state political parties by April 30, 2025, to address any unresolved issues at the level of Electoral Registration Officer (ERO), District Election Officer (DEO), or Chief Electoral Officer (CEO).
In a letter issued to political parties, the Commission also proposed an interaction with party presidents and senior leaders at mutually convenient times to further strengthen electoral processes within the legal framework.
In a press release director Anuj Chandak, informed that during an ECI conference, Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar instructed CEOs, DEOs, and EROs across all states and Union Territories to regularly interact with political parties, resolve any suggestions within the existing legal framework, and submit an action report by March 31, 2025. The Commission also encouraged political parties to actively engage in this decentralized engagement.
