Training on leprosy at Tuensang

A one-day orientation training on Leprosy was organised for Medical Officers, Community Health Officer, NLEP Health workers, DCM, ASHA Co-ordinator, Urban ASHAs and leprosy health workers on March 12, at CMO conference hall Tuensang.


A press release from NHM Tuensang DMO Apheang informed that resource person, State Leprosy Officer from Directorate of Health & Family Welfare Kohima Dr. Ruokuohelie Rutsa, presented a power point on service available under NLEP, national strategic plan and roadmap for leprosy 2023-27, pathogenesis, cardinal signs for confirmation of leprosy, etc.
Leaflets on leprosy were also distributed to all the participants in the training.


The training programme chaired by Dr. John Shupao, began with an invocation by LDA Tsisela, keynote address was delivered by Dr. Imlinaro DPO CN-II Tuensang and vote of thanks by Imkongmeren NMS.
