India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted that North East region will experience rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds over the next three days.
According to IMD, a cyclonic circulation lies over East Bangladesh. In this regard, it said that fairly widespread to widespread light/moderate rainfall/snowfall accompanied with thunderstorm & lightning likely over Arunachal Pradesh and scattered to fairly widespread light/moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm, lightning & gusty winds likely over Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura during March 14-17.
It also said that isolated hailstorms also likely over Assam and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura on March 14.
