213 residents examined at block health mela

A total of 213 residents were screened for various health issues at the Block health mela at Thetsumi under Pfutsero Block and Akhegwo under Meluri Block on March 21 and 22, 2025.


The health mela was conducted with the main objectives to provide free medical services to the far flung areas and to those populations where access for health care services was not accessible.


Besides health services, Information Education Communication (IEC) activities were carried out, distribution of IEC materials printed in local dialects on various health issues were done, conducted IPC/FGD with different target group on Maternal Health, Child Health, NCD,Family Planning, PMJAY etc were done.


At the camp, 12 ANCs were screened and provided all components for ANCs.
The health camp was conducted under the supervision of Dr.K.Chitale Hiese CMO Phek, Dy.CMO, Vertical Program Officers, SMOs and DPMU staffs.


Medical officers- Dr.Pangertemsu Gynae & Obs DH Phek, Dr.Limanukshi (Medicine) SMO Meluri, Dr.Ngailong L. Phom (Dental), Dr.Visino Nyusou (AYUSH), Dr.Martin, Dr.Kulo, Dr.Rukuwe, Dr.Meweu Mero (Dental),DR.Thejanuo, Lab-tech and Nurses from CHCs assisted during the camp.
