NFHRCC to conduct joint inspection of FHR works

Nagaland Foothill Road Construction Committee (NFHRCC) Monday informed that it would be carrying out joint inspections of the foothills road (FHR) constructions along with the department concerned and tribal hohos “anytime from now.”

NFHRCC through its media cell has urged respective contractor firms to “keep the worksite in readiness.” Decribing ongoing FHR construction as “a peoples’ project,”, the committee said inspections would be carried out without any bias and prejudice according to the DPR specifications.

NFHRCC termed as “unfortunate” that some firms had been allegedly using substandard materials and used materials used in some areas that were not in consonance with the actual DPR.

The committee has urged every stakeholder including Hohos and local CSOs in their specific divisions to extend cooperation during the inspection period.
