State level training on natural farming

State Level Training on Natural Farming was conducted on March 25, at the Directorate of Agriculture.


A press release by directorate of Agriculture informed that technical session was presented by Joint Director and DAO incharge Chumoukedima, Bodevi Shuya, on the topic “Scope and principles of Natural Farming”, followed by SMS Agronomy KVK Kiphire, Dr. Sunil Kumar, on the topic “Soil and Nutrient Management, Bio-inputs and bio-formulation in Natural Farming”.


An overview of the scheme was presented by Deputy Director & State Nodal Officer of Natural Farming, Rosemary Ezung, while a short speech was delivered by Director of Agriculture, S. Yongchang Phom, where he informed that national mission on natural farming would be implemented across the state to promote sustainable and eco-friendly agricultural practices, enhancing soil health, bio-diversity and ecosystem services while ensuring farmer’s prosperity and consumer well being.
