North East Christian University (NECU) conducted one day entrepreneurship awareness programme on March 29, equipping students with practical skills to enhance entrepreneurial and career prospects. The initiative, aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, emphasized vocational training alongside academics.
A press release by NECU informed that a total of five specialized training programmes were held in food processing (Baking, Pickle, and Jam Making), soap making, sheet metal & woodwork, and solid waste management.
Director, PM& HR, Capacity Training Centre NECU, Er Kapil Thapa, emphasized that degrees were not golden tickets to success but tools to navigate real world challenges, and encouraged students to seek interdisciplinary opportunities, apply their knowledge practically, and think beyond conventional career paths.
Manager, NTTC, Er Awalo Keppen, highlighted the need for adaptability and an entrepreneurial mindset in today’s fast-changing job market.
