Adviser of Labour & Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, and Excise, Moatoshi Longkumer, inaugurated the newly constructed road at Mao Colony here on Saturday.
Delivering a short address, he informed that the road was funded under the Local Area Development Fund (LADF) 2024-2025.
He expressed his pleasure on the contribution from the colony residents for the road construction under the allocated fund, and appealed all colony residents under 2 Dimapur II A/C to emulate the gesture shown by the Mao Colony residents, pointing that such deeds would bring many changes in a short span of time.
It may be noted that the road stretches to around 1000 feet, with 11 to 12 feet wide, and constructed using interlock paver tile block.
Moatoshi also inspected the concrete road construction at Arok Village, Dimapur, spanning nearly 2 Kilometers, constructed under LADF 2023-2024. He expressed appreciation to the village council for the dedication and sincerity in executing the work diligently.
