H&FW Com & Secy monitors health facilities in Wokha

A monitoring visit to Wokha village Health and Wellness Centre (HWC), Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC), District Hospital Wokha and Chief Medical Officer’s (CMO) Office Wokha was conducted on April 8 by commissioner and secretary, Health and Family Welfare (H&FW), Anoop Kinchi, accompanied by officials from the Medical directorate.
In a press release, Chief Medical Officer’s Office Wokha informed that the team held a consultative meeting at the CMO office.


Anoop Kinchi emphasized enhancing NCD screening in the district and boosting enrolment in the NCD portal. He also urged health workers to focus on ABHA health card generation in the district.


During the visit, the team monitored health facilities and interacted with health workers. At Wokha village HWC, Anoop spoke with the Community Health Officer and ASHA, commending the staff for their quality services and support for institutional deliveries. He emphasized the importance of home visits and community involvement, and informed that the Community Based Assessment Checklist form would soon be introduced in the NCD portal to support ASHAs.


The team included H&FW additional director, Dr. Vezokholu Theyo, joint directors, Dr. Kika Longkumer and Alemwabang, and PM(QA), NHM, Vethi Rio. They also visited UPHC Wokha and District Hospital Wokha, and held meetings with the medical staff.
