Assam Rifles conduct plantation drive; security meeting

As part of its continued efforts towards environmental sustainability and community engagement, the Assam Rifles conducted a tree plantation drive in Kiphire district. At the drive, enthusiastic participation from villagers, students and local leaders planted over 100 saplings of indigenous and environment-friendly species.


In another event, Assam Rifles organised a security meeting at Chakhabama on April 14. A total of 21 villagers including Goan Burhas, Village Council chairman, council secretary, council members from Kezo town, Kezoma, Kezo Basa, Sakhabama and North Kikruma villages and president Youth Organisation, attended the meeting.

During the security meeting, issues related with the villages including administration and security were discussed. The village representatives appreciated the efforts of Assam Rifles in conducting the security meeting as it ensures a cordial relation between civil populace and security forces.
