Educational institutions organize activities for students

As part of the academic and extracurricular activities, educational institutions across the state organised various programmes for the students.


Kohima College Kohima: Kohima College Kohima held its 58th social parting programme on April 17 under the theme “Epiphany” reflecting journey of self-discovery, resilience, and transformation, and was attended by students, faculty, dignitaries, and well-wishers.

A press release by the college informed that guest speaker, Additional Director, Directorate of Urban Development, Tarachu Fithu, applauded the college for imparting quality education and producing bright minds contributing meaningfully to society.

Sharing insights from his experiences, he emphasized importance of skill based education and dignity of labor, encouraging students to think beyond government jobs. He further urged students to embrace hard work, discipline, and perseverance, reminding them that whoever excels in his work shall not stand before ordinary people, but before kings.


ANCSU general secretary, Kivinoka Sema, in his message urged students to dedicate themselves to promoting unity, integrity, and dignity in society, while assistant general secretary, KCK, Rülevelü Shijoh, representing the outgoing batch, expressed gratitude for the transformative three-year journey and thanked faculty and staff for their unwavering support and left an encouraging message for juniors.


MGM College: In alignment with its commitment to experiential and industry-relevant education, department of Commerce, MGM College, organized educational visit to Federal Bank branch, NL Road, Dimapur, on April 16.

A press release by the college stated that the primary objective of the visit was to provide students with firsthand exposure to practical aspects of modern banking, helping them connect theoretical knowledge with real world applications.


The students and accompanying faculty members held engaging and informative session conducted by Branch Manager, who shed light on key operational and strategic facets of contemporary banking, including digital transformation in banking, customer service and relationship management, loan processing & financial products, and security in digital transactions.
