Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has dissolved the Sumi Region of the government, led by ‘interim Midan Peyu’, Asukha Awomi and ‘Tatar’, Jerimo, and their accomplice with immediate effect.

In a press release ‘kedallo’, FGN, Haingau Zeliangm informed that the government took the decision on April 22, as the region has deliberately and repeatedly failed to work under the directive of the central government, and also lacked transparency with the government.

It further informed that Sumi Region would be reconstituted with the mandate of the Sumi people. FGN therefore cautioned that any individual, business establishment, and department dealing with them would be doing so at their own risk.
