Drilling rig commissioned in Wokha, Dimapur

The ground water Cell under the Department of Geology and Mining, commissioned a truck mounted drilling Rig, DTHR-200 in Dimapur and Wokha.

In a press release, directorate of Geology and Mining, Addl. Director & HoD, Dr. Kenyelo Rengma informed that the rig was capable of performing both rotary drilling in valley areas up to a depth of 300m and DTH drilling in hilly areas up to a depth of 200m.


Rotary drilling was performed at SEWAK, Dimapur under deposit work, while DTH drilling was performed at Government Higher Secondary School, Wokha under exploratory program.
