Nagaland governor, La Ganesan, on Sunday at the live screening of “Mann ki Baat” programme, felicitated the students of St. Xavier College, Jalukie, for their participation in the Cultural Parade at the Republic Day Parade, 2024, at New Delhi.
A press release by PRO Raj Bhavan informed that, Ganesna congratulated the students and praised their outstanding contributions in representing the State at the national event.
He lauded their talent, creativity, and enthusiasm, mentioning that their performances not only entertained the audience but also highlighted the rich cultural diversity of the nation.
“It is heartening to see our daughters represent our State on such a grand platform. Your participation embodied the spirit of unity, diversity, and inclusivity that our Republic stands for,” the Governor said.
Ganesan also reflected on the impactful messages shared by the Prime Minister during the “Mann Ki Baat” episode, emphasizing the values of service, compassion, and community building.
He encouraged everyone to internalize those values and contribute actively towards the nation’s progress. Recalling the legacy of pioneering women leaders like Sarojini Naidu, Rajkumari Amrit Kaur, and Hansa Mehta, the Governor urged the young students to draw inspiration from their lives and continue to strive for excellence in all fields.
Ganesan also thanked the principal and faculty of St. Xavier College for encouraging the students to participate in the Republic Day celebrations. He further called upon educational institutions to adopt a holistic approach by nurturing not only academic excellence but also creativity, passion, and overall student well-being.
On the occasion, a special number was presented by students of St. Xavier College and a short speech by, Gaikulung Andrew, IQAC Coordinator.
