The investigation led to a major breakthrough on June 13, when police arrested the prime suspect– Kevichutuo Cüze (28) following a coordinated operation led by SDPO (North) Kohima, Sheta Lohe.
PRO said that Cüze has since been remanded to judicial custody even as the investigation continues in full swing. Police said efforts are underway to recover the stolen heroin and identify other accomplices and strengthen the case for a watertight prosecution.

PRO said the police team pursued every lead relentlessly, and while the investigation remains active, efforts were underway to recover the stolen narcotics and ensure that all those involved are brought to justice.
