Nationwide welfare campaign DA-JGUA launched in Nagaland

Dimapur

Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Yojana (DA-JGUA), a nationwide campaign to promote awareness and ensure full coverage of government welfare schemes, was launched on June 16 across multiple locations in Nagaland.

MOKOKCHUNG

In Mokokchung, the Saturation and Awareness camp under DA-JGUA was launched at Ungma Council Assembly Hall, with Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Ajit Kumar Verma, as the special guest.
DC Ajit Kumar Verma highlighted the campaign’s holistic development goals for tribal regions, ensuring direct access to government welfare schemes. He called for village councils and stakeholders to support the initiative to ensure no eligible beneficiary is left out.
Five villages—Ungma, Longkhum, Mangmetong, Kupza, and Longsa—participated. Officials from various departments provided information on Ayushman Bharat Card, Soil Health Card, and Financial Inclusion.
The event was chaired by Ajay Moktan, and concluded with an invocation by associate pastor T. Chuba Jamir.

DIMAPUR

The Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyaan (DA-JGUA) campaign was launched at Multi-Purpose Building, Thahekhu Village, chaired by Legal Advisor A. Nikato Wotsa.
Delivering the keynote address, Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang, stressed the government’s commitment to tribal welfare through village-to-village outreach initiatives. He praised Dimapur’s success under the ‘Viksit Bharat’ initiative and urged residents to ensure full participation.
Seventeen departments are engaged in the massive door-to-door awareness campaign, focusing on proper documentation, particularly Aadhaar enrolment, a vital requirement for accessing welfare benefits.
The 15-day DA-JGUA campaign aims to converge 17 central ministries, offering essential services such as ration cards, health insurance, scholarships, pensions, and MGNREGA job cards. Infrastructure projects, including PM Awas Yojana, Har Ghar Nal se Jal, Ayushman Bharat, and Digital India, are also part of the initiative.
The event featured success stories from beneficiaries and concluded with a vote of thanks by EAC and Nodal Officer Imlijungla Lemtur.

In Zunheboto, DC Dharam Raj led the launch at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall. He underscored the Ministry of Tribal Affairs’ initiative to bring grassroots saturation of welfare schemes.
Officials were tasked with ensuring full coverage through village functionaries. The campaign will run until June 30, ensuring accessibility and implementation of government schemes for eligible beneficiaries.

TSEMINYU

In Tseminyu, Deputy Commissioner Japheth Woch launched the Janjatiya Gaurav awareness and saturation camp at Gukhanyu Village.
He urged residents to utilize welfare schemes related to health, education, housing, and skill development, ensuring coordination among departments.

DA-JGUA MEETING IN MEDZIPHEMA

A meeting on the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DA-JGUA) implementation was held at City Centre, Medziphema, chaired by ADC P. James Swu.
Discussions centered on the Awareness and Benefits Saturation Camp, scheduled for June 24, and the rollout of DA-JGUA in nine villages within the sub-division. Officials were assigned tasks for organizing the event. The initiative aims to improve tribal socio-economic conditions, addressing healthcare, education, and livelihood gaps. Representatives from NGOs, banks, village councils, and government departments attended the meeting.

NOKLAK

The launching programme of the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarash Abhiyan (DA-JGUA) was held at the New Pangsha Council Hall, Noklak.
The programme was graced by Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) of Noklak, Apuloka H Sumi, along with officials from various line departments.
Speaking at the event, EAC Apuloka H Sumi highlighted the aim of the Abhiyan, which could be achieved through coordinated efforts. He encouraged the villagers to take full benefit of the scheme and work together with the officials to ensure proper implementation. He informed that the main aim of this campaign is to bring service delivery to their doorstep.

JALUKIE

In Jalukie, ADC Albert Ezung emphasized the need for 100% saturation of welfare schemes. Various departments, including Agriculture, Health, Social Welfare, and SBI Jalukie, briefed local leaders on available schemes. Twelve villages will be covered in the Jalukie Block.
At Tening, ADC K. Furhesie Nyuwi highlighted essential services such as Aadhaar enrolment, PM Kisan, KCC, MGNREGA, pensions, and PMJJBY. Local officials, town council members, and village representatives attended the event.
