DC Chümoukedima bans activities along NH-29

DIMAPUR, JUN 20 (NPN)

Deputy Commissioner, Chümoukedima, Polan John, has prohibited activities such as quarrying, earth cutting, construction activities, setting up of temporary fruits and vegetables stalls and other land related operations in close proximity to National Highway-29 including lands with Right of Way.
DC stated that such activities posed a significant risk to the structural integrity of the Highway and endangered public safety.
Therefore, DC has advised all individuals, village councils and stakeholders to refrain from undertaking any quarrying, earth cutting, setting up temporary vendor stalls or similar activities near NH-29 that could adversely impact the stability and safety of the Highway and its users.
DC also urged all responsible to extend cooperation in maintaining the durability of NH-29 and safety of all. For further information or clarification, one could contact DC office Chümoukedima. Any activity found to be detrimental to the safety and integrity of NH-29 may invite necessary legal action as per applicable laws and regulations.
