NWHD, MWHD condemn alleged molestation incident

DIMAPUR

Naga Women Hoho Dimapur (NWHD) and Mao Women Hoho Dimapur (MWHD) have strongly condemned the alleged molestation of a Naga woman inside a moving auto-rickshaw on June 15, 2025, in Dimapur.
In a statement, NWHD termed the incident as a “heinous act and a grave violation of human rights and dignity.” The organisation demanded swift and thorough investigation into the case and urged authorities to ensure that the perpetrator is brought to justice. NWHD also called for greater public awareness to uphold women’s rights and dignity and expressed solidarity with the victim and her family.
Meanwhile, MWHD, through its media cell, expressed deep dismay over the incident, stating that it had shocked and saddened its members. MWHD said the act violated the dignity of the woman and endangered the basic sense of safety that every citizen deserves. It urged law enforcement to take immediate and uncompromising action to deliver justice promptly.
MWHD president N. Kayia reiterated the organisation’s stand against violence and its commitment to uphold justice, dignity, and women’s safety in society.
