MSME-PCI nodal office launched in Phek

MSME Promotion Council of India (MSME-PCI) launched its nodal office at Mission Colony in Pfutsero Town, Phek, on June 21. The new office is set to become a vital hub for promoting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) throughout the region.
Inaugurating the office, deputy commissioner Phek, Rhosietho Nguori, underscored the significant benefits of MSME programmes, and emphasized that strengthening local economy through MSMEs was crucial for achieving national goal of becoming global economic superpower and a “Viksit Bharat” by 2047.
He said for this to happen, development must occur at grassroots level with MSME being the right agency to drive this promotion.
State Deputy Vice Chairman (SDVC) of MSME-PCI, Aien Longchar, in her address urged local stakeholders to cooperate with MSME team and utilize the new platform for their entrepreneurial ventures, while vice president, Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO), also encouraged the local community to confidently embrace business and startup opportunities.
The new MSME-PCI office would offer a range of crucial services, including, business development support and guidance, access to government schemes and subsidies, capacity-building workshops and training programs, technical assistance and market linkage support, etc. Local entrepreneurs, self-help groups, and youth have been encouraged to use the services and seize the new opportunities for growth and innovation.
The launch event witnessed attendance from various stakeholders across Phek district, including representatives from Chakhesang Public Organization, Chakhesang Students’ Union, Chakhesang Youth Front, Pfutsero Town Council, Pfutsero Town Chakhesang Students’ Union, village leaders, Church leaders, and students’ unions from the region.
