District Task Force on Immunization (DTFI), Mokokchung, held its review meeting on June 23 at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Ajit Kumar Verma.
A DIPR report informed that at the meeting, DC welcomed all members and stressed on the importance of community participation in public health campaigns. He called on all departments to work together in order to improve health outcomes in the district.
Dr. Linanaro, District Programme Officer (RCH & UIP), highlighted the objective of ensuring that no eligible beneficiary is left out during immunization drives. She also briefed the members on the ongoing STOP Diarrhoea campaign being held across June and July, and outlined the roles of all line departments involved in the campaign.
Meanwhile, Dr. Mero from the WHO’s Rapid Response Team (RRT) presented the status report on immunization activities and achievements in the district.
The meeting also saw discussions on challenges faced in raising awareness and implementing strategies. Members exchanged suggestions to improve outreach and ensure comprehensive immunization coverage.
