A one-day Job Fair 2025 was held at Salesian College of Higher Secondary Education, Dimapur, on June 25, attracting a large number of job seekers.
The fair was organised by the Integrated Development Association (AIDA) and Don Bosco Job Placement Network, in collaboration with Salesian College, District Employment Exchange and NCSC for Differently Abled.
Around 150 candidates registered for the fair, out of which 90 were shortlisted.
Special guest, Abdu Saleem TK, Head of Office and Rehabilitation Officer, NCSC Dimapur, stressed on the need for skill development and career readiness. AIDA director, Fr. Dr. Roy George, in his keynote address, highlighted the importance of youth employability and meaningful job opportunities.
The event saw participation from several recruiting organisations who conducted both online and offline interviews. These included: Chilli Breeze, Jio Reliance, Indian Army (Agniveer), CEC, Flyways Aviation, Shri Vidya Mandir, T Tec, Auxilium School, OHAA Tech School and Santhome School.
The fair also offered career counselling, vocational training information, and on-the-spot interviews, aiming to bridge the gap between education and employment.
Earlier, the programme began with an invocation by Fr. Elow Samuel, Rector of Salesian College, followed by a welcome address by college principal, Fr. Dr. Paul Punii. AIDA programme coordinator, Sebi Chacko, delivered the vote of thanks.
