GPRN/NSCN, led by president ‘Maj. (Retd.)’ R.M. Lotha and ‘ato kilonser’ N. Kitovi Zhimomi, welcomed 12 homecoming national workers from the NSCN/GPRN (I-M) group. The returnees include members from both civil and army wings. According to a statement from the MIP, GPRN/NSCN, the following members have joined the group: Toiho – Dy. Kilonser (UT); Kuhokhe Yeptho – Dy. Kilonser (UT); Zhetovi Sumi – Dy. Kilonser (UT); Asheto Ayemi – Tatar (UT); Hekiho Yeptho – Tatar (UT); Yehoto Awomi – Leacy (Sumi Region); Nilevito Angami – Leacy (UT); Khutovi Chophy – R/Pio (UT); Obeka Awomi – Khapur (UT); Itovi Yeptho – Tatar (UT); Akhevi Awomi – Khapur (Sumi Region) and “Lt.” Toka Awomi – Lieutenant (Army).
Meanwhile, according to MIP, the homecomers acknowledged that the Naga political movement has reached a crucial phase and pledged their support to the leadership of GPRN/NSCN for an early solution. They also affirmed their commitment to strengthening the organisation and working toward the finalisation of the “Agreed Position” with the Government of India for a secure future of the younger Naga generation.
