Medanta Hospital holds medical camp in Kohima

DIMAPUR

Medanta Hospital, Gurgaon, ranked India’s Best Private Hospital by Newsweek for six consecutive years, conducted a three-day multi-specialty medical camp in Kohima from June 25 to 27.
The camp was organized in collaboration with the Government of Nagaland, through the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), Directorate of Industries and Commerce, and Nagaland Police, to provide accessible and specialized healthcare services to the people of the state.
The medical camp followed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Medanta and the Government of Nagaland, accrediting the hospital under the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS). Over 400 individuals benefited from health check-ups conducted by a team of doctors and nurses from Medanta.
Dr. Naresh Trehan, Chairman & Managing Director, Medanta, stated that North East India has long remained underserved in healthcare. He emphasized that expanding quality care to underserved populations is a moral imperative, and that early diagnosis and personalized care can improve health outcomes.
Advisor to the chief minister and chairman of IDAN, Abu Metha, thanked Medanta Group for partnering with the Government of Nagaland and bringing world-class medical services to the state. The medical camp is part of Medanta’s broader mission to bridge healthcare gaps through public-private partnerships, outreach programs, and advanced medical services for underserved regions.
