3rd Tseminyu District Badminton tournament concludes

The 3rd Tseminyu District Badminton tournament, 2025 culminated on June 28 at Tseminyu Badminton Indoor Stadium.
In the closing function, Deputy Commisioner Tseminyu, Japheth Woch (NCS) who graced the program as special guest, handed certificates and cash prizes to the winners.
There was a total of 9 categories including 35+ and 45+.
The Deputy Commissioner encouraged all to continue encouraging and promoting young budding players.
He further lauded the Tseminyu District Badminton Association (TDBA) for their active initiatives in organizing regular District level Badminton tournaments and Coaching camps and opined that the TDBA is the most active association in the District.
He also stated that Nagas have to develop a good sporting culture which will not only benefit the person individually but also the community and society at large because sports can give solution to a lot of social vices affecting our young population.
All the players exhibited impressive sportsmanship and spirit and enthralled the crowd with their display of exceptional talents.
One of the Tournament highlight was Mr. I. Temjen Ao, a 62 year veteran who defied age, to partner with K. Zeiphrü to win the 35+ category.
