A coordination meeting with the Heads of Offices under Tening sub-division was held on June 27 at the office chamber of ADC Tening, chaired by EAC Ihoilung Chuilo.
The meeting discussed preparations for the upcoming visits of advisor Kudecho Khamo and Namri Nchang for the inauguration of the new ADC Complex and Higher Secondary Block at GHSS Tening, a DIPR report informed.
During the meeting, the Range Forest Officer (RFO) raised concerns over water scarcity affecting government officials. In response, SDO PHED informed that water supply projects under the AMRUT Scheme would begin soon, and urged departments to coordinate to ensure priority supply to government facilities.
The Sub-Divisional Health Officer (SDHO) highlighted the department’s need for land to construct an office. The chairperson acknowledged the issue and assured that it would be looked into.
Principal of GHSS Tening also raised concerns about shortage of teachers in various sections and the lack of elective subjects. He was asked to submit a detailed letter so the matter could be taken up with the District Planning Board.
Logistical challenges in transporting examination papers and addressing daily public needs were discussed in view of Tening being an NBSE exam centre. The matter would be placed before the DPDB for appropriate action.
The meeting concluded with the chairperson urging all Heads of Offices to ensure their offices remain active and functional, followed by a vote of thanks.
