Koinonia Baptist Church conducts Vacation Bible School

DIMAPUR

Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC) concluded its annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) with the theme “True North: Trusting Jesus in a Wild World – I am with you Always” (Matthew 28:20). The three-day event, held from July 1 to 3, at the church premises, saw an inspiring turnout of 513 students and officials.
In his keynote message, senior pastor Rev. Dr. Zotuo Kiewhuo urged the young participants to grow in the fear of God and become soul winners for Jesus Christ. “Preach the gospel to the ends of the world,” he challenged, emphasizing the importance of cultivating a prayerful life from childhood. Drawing from the example of Joseph in the Bible, he illustrated how prayer can lead to divine favor and public reward. The pastor also pronounced impartation prayers over the children, praying for spiritual growth and guidance.
The programme also featured messages from pastor Medotseilieü Kiewhuo and pastor Neibalie Kiewhuo, who encouraged children to stay anchored in Christ despite life’s challenges.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by VBS director, Kekhriengulie Kuotsu, scripture reading by Atseinuo Kiewhuo, while presentation and thanksgiving note was delivered by CEM superintendent, Belinda Kiewhuo.
As part of the closing ceremony, awards were presented to outstanding students across various classes: Intermediate class: Keneingulie Seyie and Nirmoka; Junior class: Hitoka Kinimi and Lenthula; Primary class: John Ningthoujam and Rebecca Nakhro; Beginner class: Keneingulie Kiewhuo and Khairhune.
