Assam Rifles has undertaken multiple initiatives in Nagaland aimed at youth empowerment, environmental awareness, and education.
In Phek, a focused training capsule for SSC GD aspirants was conducted on June 24 with the participation of 18 youths.
The training includes physical endurance sessions and pre-medical tests, helping candidates prepare for the recruitment process into the Central Armed Police Forces.
Instructors from Assam Rifles provided mentorship, boosting confidence and motivation among participants.
The programme received encouraging feedback from local youth who expressed gratitude for the support.
In another initiative, Assam Rifles, in collaboration with Zub Zub NGO, carried out a large-scale cleanliness drive at Pfuchama village in observance of International Plastic Bag Free Day on July 4. Over 30 villagers joined the drive, working alongside Assam Rifles personnel and NGO members to remove waste and promote responsible waste disposal.
The event reinforced the importance of community-led action for environmental protection.
Meanwhile, as part of its Summer Camp Programme, Assam Rifles organised an educational tour from Kohima to Dimapur for 58 students of Assam Rifles Public School (ARPS), Kohima. The students, from Class III to X, visited the Dimapur Zoological Park, Nagaland Science Centre, and the historic Kachari ruins.
The tour aimed to provide learning beyond the classroom and expose students to the region’s science, culture, and history.
Assam Rifles reaffirmed its commitment to community welfare and youth development through such outreach and educational activities.
