A one-day workshop on “Tools and Online Resources for Academia” was held at Baptist College, Kohima on Saturday, organised by the Library Advisory Committee and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).
The workshop aimed to help faculty and administrators use digital tools to improve academic performance and administration.
IQAC coordinator Dr. Sentinaro chaired the programme while consultant for library education and technologies, Alovi Zhimomi, was the resource person.
In the first session was moderated by Vincent Kent, Sociology Department head, Alovi spoke on “Digital Repository DSpace”, explaining its use in managing and sharing academic digital content. She also gave a live demo of various open online tools.
The second session, moderated by Political Science Department head, L. Thisdelong Rüdy, focused on “Research Tools and Online Learning Materials.” Alovi highlighted several platforms useful for research and digital learning.
The event began with a prayer by Dr. Kewepfuzu Lohe, principal, Baptist College, Kohima, and a welcome address by Dr. Kekuchol Pusa, principal, Sechü campus. Library Advisory Committee convener, Angel Meru, introduced the resource person. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Seyiesilie Vüprü, assistant coordinator, IQAC.
