Assam Rifles organised a special programme, “A Day with Company Commander”, for schoolchildren at its location in Mimi, Nagaland on Sunday.
According to Assam Rifles source, the event gave students a chance to interact with the Company Commander and troops, learn about army life and values, and understand the role of Assam Rifles as the ‘Sentinels of the Northeast’.
Students were taken on a guided tour, shown military equipment, obstacle training and field readiness. They also took part in interactive sessions with officers and men.
The Company Commander gave a motivational talk, stressing the importance of education, fitness and service to the nation.
Cultural performances by children, games, and a group photograph with troops made the day memorable.
Teachers, parents and community leaders appreciated Assam Rifles’ efforts to build better relations with the public and inspire youth towards discipline and patriotism.
