Patkai Christian College (PCC), Tribal FC and Paohao Memorial FC have reached the quarterfinals of the 7th Frolic Cup played at local ground, Medziphema on Tuesday.
PCC came from behind to beat St. Joseph University 2-1. St. Joseph University took an early lead through Longngai C Phom’s strike. However, Patkain’s Monton scored an equalizer in the 22nd minute. The first session ended 1-1. After the break, Patkai took the lead when Menguneizo found the net in the 45th minute to seal victory for PCC. Tribal FC too proceeded to the quarter finals after defeating The Beakons 3-1. Ngulie (31st min), Kuthozo (53rd &68th mins) scored for the Tribals FC while Kekruzelie Watsah (50th min) scored the only goal for the Beakons.
In another encounter, Paohao Memorial FC beat Medziphema Village Youth Organisation in five goal thriller.
Aloumei(9th min), Ngulgoulal (16th min) and Awang (59th min) scored for the Paohao Memorial FC, while Thejaseto (33rd min) and Vikhole (66th min) were the goal scorers for the MVYO.
Earlier, Kuki Youth Club defeated Ton FC 3-0. The first goal for KYC was scored by Shürhuosul in the 5th minute. KYC scored two more goals in the second session by Thanglunhao and Lamginmang in the 65th and 71st minutes.
