Traffic advisoryfor NH-29 stretch

In view of the deteriorating road condition at the old KMC dumping site and the continuous landslides near the old toll tax gate (Welcome to Kohima Gate), the deputy commissioner (DC) Kohima, B. Henok Buchem, has ordered that only six-wheeler goods carrier trucks would be permitted to ply along the affected stretch of NH-29 until further notice.
Recent incessant rains triggered mudslide at old KMC dumping site forcing authorities to divert traffic towards Jotsoma bypass. However, traffic police official said the road stretch has now been cleared.
