‘Naga Organic’ outlet inaugurated in Delhi to promote NE farm products

DIMAPUR

To promote organic food products from Nagaland farms in urban markets, the “Naga Organic – Delivery Point” outlet was inaugurated on Wednesday by Joint Resident Commissioner (JRC), Nagaland House New Delhi, Sharon Longchari, at Humayunpur Village, Safdarjung, New Delhi.
According to PRO Nagaland House, New Delhi, the outlet is part of the Mission Organic Value Chain Development for North Eastern Region (MOVCDNER) under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
It will serve as both a delivery point and display hub for premium organic products.
Speaking at the event, Longchari said the outlet will help connect Nagaland’s farms directly to consumers in Delhi, ensuring fresh and authentic supply.
Sharon Longchari thanked Green Caravan, a market linkage partner empanelled by the Department of Agriculture, Nagaland, for its support in training, certification and infrastructure.
Sharon Longchari added that the initiative goes beyond business—it empowers farmers, promotes sustainable agriculture and creates market access for entrepreneurs from the region.
The store features products from 17 Farmer Producer Companies across Nagaland, including dried Naga King Chilli (Peren, Niuland), ginger candy (Longleng), Arabica coffee (Tuophema), foxtail sticky millet (Meluri, Mon), Jobstears (Tseminyu), Schezwan pepper, sumac and turmeric powder (Mokokchung), soybeans and perilla paste (Tuensang), and wild apple candy (Khonoma). PRO Nagaland House, New Delhi informed that more products will be added soon.
The outlet is located at House No. 71D, Nanz Store Ground Floor, Humayunpur Village, New Delhi – 29.
