PenThrill Publication House marked its 107th release with the launch of “Heart Cry of the Singles”, a faith-based testimony written by author Hollika Chophy. The event was held at Orchid Hall, Hotel Saramati, Dimapur, and was graced by Team Connect Ministries, Dimapur, Director, Rev. Mulato Chishi as the special guest.
Speaking at the ceremony, Rev. Chishi officially launched the book and congratulated both the author and the publisher. He reflected on the book’s message of love and healing in Christ, especially aimed at those walking the journey of singleness. “God is not looking for the qualified, but for those with a willing heart,” he said, invoking the legacy of Fanny Crosby to encourage Chophy to continue her faith-driven writing.
“Heart Cry of the Singles” offers a personal and spiritual reflection on the author’s journey through heartbreak, healing, and hope. Though its title centers on singlehood, the deeper purpose of the book, as described by the author, is to glorify God and share the good news of salvation. Chophy noted that many singles seek love and companionship, yet often overlook the lasting joy that only Christ can offer.
In her publisher’s note, PenThrill Founder Vishü Rita Krocha praised Chophy for her courage in sharing her intimate story. “This is possibly the first book of its kind from Nagaland,” Krocha said, highlighting the emotional vulnerability and strength woven into the narrative. She addressed the social stigma that single women in Naga society often face, noting how deeply ingrained assumptions and judgments continue to affect personal freedom and identity.
“The book serves as both a testimony and a timely reminder,” Krocha added, “that being unmarried is not a failure, and every life has purpose in God’s plan.” She applauded the author for raising awareness around single shaming, particularly its impact on women, and for advocating empathy, faith, and acceptance.
Chophy, in her speech, shared the challenges she faced while writing the book. Coming from a secular background, she viewed writing as her primary platform for ministry. She recounted episodes of self-doubt and setbacks that led her to briefly abandon the project, believing it might not be part of God’s plan. However, she reaffirmed her spiritual conviction and her intent to use her experiences to witness Christ’s redemptive love.
The launch program included a welcome address by Bloom Academy proprietor Honoli Zhimomi, invocation by pastor Kheshiho Chishi of Urban Mission Church, and a musical performance by UMCD Music Leader Puloka Chuzho. The event concluded with a closing prayer led by Cornerstone Theological College Principal Dr. Inatoli Achumi. “Heart Cry of the Singles” is now available for purchase online via Amazon, and offline at Fusion Store and Butterbook Café in Dimapur.
