Freshers’ Meets held at ITC&S and C-Edge College

Immanuel Theological College and Seminary (ITC&S), Chümoukedima, and C-Edge College, Dimapur, held their respective freshers’ programmes to welcome new students into the academic community on July 18.
At ITC&S, the 5th Freshers’ Meet was held at the college chapel hall under the theme “New Vessel” (2 Corinthians 5:17). Deputy Director of Higher Education, Dr. Medongoi Rhakho, graced the event as speaker.
He encouraged students to embrace spiritual renewal and cultivate Christ-like character through the fruit of the Spirit.
He also introduced the four pillars of learning—learning to know, do, live, and be—and urged students to apply theological knowledge in daily life.
College Principal, Dr. Lawrence Yanthan, offered the blessing prayer, while the freshers’ speech was delivered by Imsu Yanger. Melwin Timung and Yukhian Thongliu were crowned Mr and Miss Freshers respectively. The programme included prayers, speeches, and a feast.
Meanwhile, C-Edge College concluded its Freshers’ Week with a vibrant culmination programme at G.K. Auditorium. CEO of Eagle Crest Training Academy & Consultancy, Temjenkala Aier, was the guest speaker. She urged students to prioritize mental well-being, engage in extracurricular activities, and use social media mindfully.
The event featured an awards ceremony where students were recognized for outstanding attendance. University Gold Medalist MThejasikho Vakha (BBA) and Tsuno Girl Topper Merenkala Ajem were felicitated with cash prizes of Rs.10,000 and Rs. 5,000 respectively.
Freshers and seniors shared their experiences, followed by the Mr. & Ms. Fresher 2025 segment. Wewude Tsusha and Christina Sumi were crowned winners, while Benjongninsang and Ayetoli V Aye were runners-up. Mr. & Ms. Talented titles went to Benjongninsang and Waku-u Lashu, and Mr. & Ms. Ethnic to Wewude Tsusha and Bendangjungla Imsong.
The programme included musical performances, prayers, and a vote of thanks, marking a joyful welcome for the new batch.
