MDTA set to compete at 35th Nagaland State Taekwondo C’ship

DIMAPUR, JUL 22 (NPN)

A contingent of 33 taekwondo players from Mokokchung District Taekwondo Association (MDTA), spanning various age and weight categories, is gearing up to participate in the upcoming 35th Nagaland State Taekwondo Championship 2025 and Under-14 Taekwondo Catch Them Young Tournament, scheduled to be held in Longleng from July 29 to 31.
The official selection of players was conducted on July 21 at Ladybird Higher Secondary School, where MDTA officials and certified referees oversaw sparring sessions to assess the athletes’ readiness for the state-level competition.
MDTA showcased an impressive performance in the previous edition of the championship held in Phek district in 2024, bringing home 18 medals across different categories, affirming its reputation as a strong contender in the sport.
