NAWO-D condemns attempted rape

Northern Angami Women Organisation (NAWO–D) has strongly condemned the attempted rape and murder of a mother of four, allegedly by Khrietuolie Kense, son of Savituo Kense from Tsiemekhu Basa.
Expressing shock over the brutal incident, Northern Angami Women Organisation extended solidarity to the victim’s family and called for swift justice.
The organisation urged authorities to impose stringent punishment on the accused as per law, and appealed that no bail be granted. Northern Angami Women Organisation stated that such crimes pose a serious threat to the safety of society.
Reaffirming its commitment to the safety of women and girls, Northern Angami Women Organisation stated, “Crimes, violence, rape against women and girl child must end, and it must end now.”
