A coordination meeting for the upcoming Independence Day celebration was held at the ADC’s Conference Hall, Medziphema sub-division, chaired by ADC P. James Swu on July 17.
The meeting was attended by all Heads of Offices (HoOs), institutions, Ward Chairmen and MTC Councillors. A new member, Kedanye Thong from GHSS, was welcomed to the house. ADC Swu urged all departments to perform their assigned responsibilities sincerely and efficiently to ensure a successful celebration. The house discussed at length the day’s programme and called for joint coordination.
SDO(C) Tsalemla Sangtam read out task assignments for various State and Central Government departments. As part of the celebration, the house decided to set up cultural and craft stalls reflecting the region’s heritage. Preparations are underway to mark the occasion with unity and vibrant community participation.
